Liberty, Mo – Visit Historic Downtown Liberty on February 23rd for a taste of summer with some hot, steaming BBQ.
Historic Downtown Liberty, Inc. sponsors the 4th annual Take the Chill Out BBQ scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at Heritage Hall, 117 W. Kansas in downtown Liberty.
This all-you-can-eat BBQ will feature delectable pork ribs, tenderloin, chicken and beef brisket. Sides will include potato salad, cole slaw, beans, rolls and dessert. Caribbean music will be provided by Chris Foster.
Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at By the Book, The Polished Edge and With a French Accent in downtown Liberty. Tickets the day of the event are $12. Tickets for children ages five and under are $6. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for an additional charge.
Businesses providing food donations for the event include The Polished Edge, Cupini's, Sorella's, Mill St.Deli, Ginger Sue's, Classy Chocolate, HyVee and PriceChopper. Downtown Liberty merchants have also provided items for a raffle to be held during the event.
Canned and dried food donations will be accepted to benefit In As Much Ministries. All proceeds from the event will benefit, Historic Downtown Liberty, Inc., a non-profit organization.
